Description
Pneumatic conveying systems
SAHIVO designs and manufactures equipment and installations for product management in pneumatic conveying. The pneumatic conveying system is divided into:
Dilute phase pneumatic conveying
In dilute phase pneumatic conveying under vacuum or positive pressure, the material is transported in suspension within the pipe and the particles are uniformly distributed over the entire cross section of the pipe (the flow is very homogeneous). The solids concentration is relatively low and the conveying velocity is relatively high.
One of the main advantages of this type of PNEUMATIC CONVEYOR, especially in the food industry, is that the pipe can be left clean after conveyance. The inside of the pipe is usually always empty so that different products can pass through it with a minimum risk of cross-contamination. A bag filter with an automatic cleaning system takes care of the air-product separation. The conveying air is usually generated by a turbine.
Dense phase pneumatic conveying
Dense phase pneumatic conveyor equipment is basically used for high flow rates and for abrasive products, or products which, due to their fragility, must be conveyed at low speed.
Low speed conveying avoids premature wear of installation elements such as pipes, bends, etc.
Low-speed conveying also prevents damage to very fragile products. It also prevents particles of different densities from separating during conveying.
The equipment works with compressed air between 1 and 5 bar and the conveying flow rates, depending on the setting of the equipment, can be over 50 Tn/h and over 200 meters in length.
