By opening from both sides, instead of just one, it is incredibly easy to remove the rotor. It can even be removed in its entirety (rotor removal without risk to fingers) and placed in a specially designed 'pod' for precision cleaning. Putting the rotor back in place is effortless. This is ease of cleaning at its best.
